Gem Panto
A few years ago I started designing pantographs for other longarmers to use on their quilts. Although time hasn’t allowed me to create very many of them, I do have a few “Gems”. See what I did there? Haha. It’s been a fun thing to do and I just love it when people use them. I am going to highlight them here occasionally so you can see how they look when used on quilts too! Recently I had a client choose my Gem panto for her quilt so I had a great opportunity to take some glamour shots of it. It turned out so amazing, don’t you think?
This quilt was made by one of my longtime clients, Carol R. She has been using me as her quilter for probably 16 years and brings me 1 every month to finish for her. She had seen a post I made on instagram of this design being used on another quilt, and requested it for hers as well. I was more than happy to oblige!
This quilt has a modern feel, so the strong clean lines of Gem really help set off the stars… in my opinion anyway! The quilt pattern is actually called Gemstones and is a block of the month by Grandma’s Attic, my local quilt shop here in Dallas, Oregon. It is a block of the month and they do a lot of mail orders, so check it out if you want to make one for yourself!
